Diamond ring, early 20 ^th century. 19 ^th and early 20 ^th diamond cuts are always unique, each hand-cut in a slightly different way to maximise the carat weight yielded from each individual crystal. Over the course of the 20 ^th century, many of these stones have been re-cut to conform to the modern brilliant cut, meaning that these beautiful older cuts are increasingly rare. This classic three-stone ring is set with three old European-cut stones, each of a similar size, in a handmade white gold mount. Trilogy rings are highly versatile – perfect as engagement rings sitting comfortably next to a wedding band, or great on any finger, worn individually or as part of an eclectic ring stack.
