Creality – CR-10 V3 – CReality

Although the CR-10 v3 sounds like a complete new version, this 3D printer by Creality is more like a variation, with an original e3d direct drive Titan extruder. This means that unlike the CR-10 v2, this machine can handle flexible materials very well and thanks to the geared extruder system has a lot more power. The shorter distance between motor and hot-end enable faster retractions and less extruding inconsistencies at the cost of having to move the extra weight of a stepper motor on the X axis. So basically if you have to choose between the CR-10 v2 or v3, it comes down to whether you need to extrude flexible filament or you need more extruder power.

The CR-10 v3 sticks to the well-known, reliable control box that sits next to the machine, but with the upgraded silent mainboard with TMC2208 stepper drivers for smooth and silent printer movements. The reliable Mean Well power supply, filament run-out sensor and printing resume function ensure a safe and reliable 3D printing experience, while the easy to use graphical LCD screen and included software make it easy for anyone to start a 3D print.

The 3D printer comes with a carborundum glass sheet for better adhesion and longer durability, and a dual z-axis for the best layer stacking. Most printer parts are pre-assmbled and require little assembly before you can start printing. The double cooling fans give a great cooling to the print, for the neatest results. Finally, the printer comes with the latest firmware which many enhancements that improve the printing quality and speed and can be used in combination with many slicing applications including Cura and Slic3r.
