KM Elite Linseed Oil contains essential Omega oils – 3, 6 and 9 which are also effective in humans – whereas other vegetable oils consist of mainly Omega 6 fatty oils. Omega 3 offsets too much Omega 6 which can lead to an imbalance of oils. The Omega 3 in KM Elite Linseed Oil is made up of a plant based fatty acid which naturally compliments any horses’ diet.

Linseed oil contains an essential fatty acid known as alpha-linoleic acid, or ALA. This fatty acid belongs to the Omega 3 group of lipids. Linseed oil is unusual among oils as it contains considerably more Omega 3 than Omega 6, therefore is fantastic in helping to address the imbalance of the ratios of Omega 6 to Omega 3, which in the modern horses diet is a common problem.
