Here at Quella we’ve been working on something a little special. We’re proud to introduce a selection of hand finished unique Copper plated Quella bicycles. All our single speed bikes are fun, low maintenance and stylish, and a Copper Quella is no exception. Built around a steel Chromoly frame of vintage Italian racing heritage our copper frames are aimed at those who want the experience of classic single speed riding yet want to take design to a new level and stand-out from the crowd. Each Quella Copper Fixie frame is built using classic road racing geometry. We have converted a road built frame to single speed including hand building the rear wheels to fit exactly the dimensions of the frame. We have incorporated a flexible tensioner to allow easy removal of the chain when wishing to flip the rear wheel from single speed to a fixed position. During the copper process natural blemishes occur on the surfaces, which also gives each frame their subtle uniqueness from one another. All our copper bikes are then lacquered to provide further protection against the elements. It is natural that Copper may tarnish over time and therefore it is important that the bike is regularly cleaned and maintained. At an additional cost we can also further adapt each copper bike design to suit any further individual needs you may have. The frames include a rear drop-out that can be further converted to incorporate a full groupset and gearing.
