The penny end locking screw on staple is designed as a replacement for a missing part, or as a method of keeping rooms private. Once the pin is inserted it prevents the latch bar from rising out of the keeper. We would recommend drilling the hole through the door, this will allow it to be removed in an emergency situation. Designed for use with our Suffolk latch and available in two finishes beeswax and pewter, sold as a single item. If you don’t require the staple to be locking we also have the standard penny end staple available.
